WHO WE ARE

The Community Solar Portal is part of a collaborative project led by Australian Energy Foundation (AEF), a national for-purpose organisation, and seven key community solar organisations from the Victorian Community Solar Alliance (VCSA). Together we’re committed to fostering a sustainable energy future that is led, owned, or operated by the community.

Our goal is to amplify the impact of community-owned renewable energy – projects where a community group initiates, develops, operates and benefits from a renewable energy resource or energy efficiency initiative.

With over 100 projects in development and more than 70 installed nationally, the community energy sector is growing rapidly. By working together and sharing our knowledge, we can accelerate the transition to a sustainable energy future.

HOW TO GET INVOLVED

Community solar projects offer an exciting opportunity to get involved in small-scale ethical investment, earning a modest return for member-shareholders, and enabling consumers who may not otherwise be able to put solar on their own roofs to access the benefits of distributed generation.

There are many ways that you can get involved.
