Our first Southern CORE project was delivered November 2017. A $20,000 no-interest loan enabled Foster Pool Association to complete works to install a solar thermal heating system on the roof of a large, newly erected shelter at the pool. Heroic local fundraising efforts had raised most of what was required. The Fund’s final support helped the project over the line before the important summer swimming season.
Warming the waters of this lovely outdoor pool, with its grassy shade areas and treed surrounds, is helping grow the capacity of the pool to attract locals and visitors alike, improving the facility’s long term financial viability.
